Destroyed by madness he dwells in the dark alone,
Engulfed by sorrow thinking about the unknown,
He wonders why he can never belong,
And where his life all went wrong.
He wonders why it changed from the way it was,
Why he feels the way he does,
He wonders why his emotions are grim,
And why they always hurt him.
He sees his life as a painful fallout,
like a disease in his mind that fills him with doubt,
He hates himself when he sees his reflection,
Because all he sees is a sickening infection.
He sheds a tear as he thinks of his past,
And he realizes his memories weren't made to last,
But in his depressive trance,
He loses all hope for another chance.
He feels like he is surrounded by ice,
But also he feels free of his vice,
And as he feels a forceful breeze,
He starts to feel his body losing its disease.
He opens his eyes one last time,
To gaze into the black sky so sublime,
Because in its shadow he feels okay,
as he watches it rapidly move further away,
He feels a sharp pain and is engulfed by the river,
He drifts off unable to even shiver,
But now he lays cold as he sinks deeper down,
With nothing to show but his frown.
No more can he be hurt by himself,
His picture now pushed to the back of the shelf,
He has passed through his dreadful endeavor,
As he leaves them all forever.
